Case study: Arthritis and Improving Range of Motion
Linda reported joint stiffness and muscle aches in her shoulders and hips due to polymyalgia rheumatic (similar to rheumatoid arthritis). After a year and a half of weekly massage and Pilates training she recognized great results:
"In the morning my shoulders feel tight and sore. I feel so much better after my Pilates and massage session, I can move with much less pain and effort. Not only do I feel better but I’ve dropped two clothing sizes!"- Linda C
Regular massage sessions combined with Pilates has been shown to improve joint range of motion and relieve muscle stiffness for those suffering from arthritis.
Case study: Exercise and Diabetes
Before Barry began training, he could not walk more than one city block without stopping to rest. Over the past year, he has greatly improved his strength and endurance and can now walk for up to 60 minutes at a time.
In conjunction with his training, he also meets with Lou Ann Frisch RD for weekly nutrition counseling, and writes down everything he eats. His physician has significantly lowered his insulin dosage over the past year, and he hopes to be completely off insulin within the next year.
“Because of the fitness program you put together for me (along with a reasonable weight-loss diet devised for me by my nutritionist), I have lost 50 pounds -- for that I say thank you. Because of your enthusiasm and guidance, I can, for the first time in years, take long walks and workout for protracted periods of time -- for that I say thank you. Because of the goals you set for me and your encouragement, I am now in better shape than I have been in for 20 years. For that I say thank you, thank you, thank you.” - Barry W.
Case study: Post-surgery Recovery
Kirby does strength and conditioning training two to three times per week for sixty minutes each. After knee surgery, her routine included knee strengthening rehabilitative exercises. To keep herself motivated, Kirby works out with a buddy and goes for long weekend hikes with her dog.
She receives massage once a month to recover from a hard workout or just relax at the end of the week.
“I wanted to thank you for all of your support and dedication to my workout routine. You have been instrumental in my weight loss and stronger muscles! I some days get amazed at how far that I have come and that's been very inspirational to go even farther - you're the best!” - Kirby C.
Case study: Massage for Stress Relief
Irma suffers from chronic neck and upper back tension. She receives monthly massages to manage her pain and help relax tight muscles.
“Anne really listens. When I articulate a tough spot, she gets right in there and relieves the problem areas. I come away feeling rejuvenated. Thanks Anne for keeping me relaxed and stretched!” - Irma M.

Case study: Massage for Pain Relief
Sharon views massage as a necessary luxury. She treats herself as needed and keeps her body tuned up in between massages with weekly Pilates sessions.
“Anne has the best healing hands I’ve ever encountered. She has taken the pain out of multiple sports injuries I’ve had, and most recently has healed back pain that was immobilizing me. I would highly recommend her massage to anyone!” Sharon H.
